Brian Kitching is an Executive Director at JPMorgan Chase in Cybersecurity and Technology Controls. Brian is a retired Lieutenant Colonel and Army Ranger with over 20 years of experience commanding in Special Operations and other combat units. Over 10 overseas deployments and 50+ months in combat, Brian led hundreds of high-risk operations and has been recognized on three separate occasions for bravery in battle. Brian is a recipient of two Bronze Stars for valor and our nation’s third highest military decoration for gallantry, the Silver Star. Brian served as a Downing Scholar at the Combating Terrorism Center at West Point and as a military fellow at the International Centre for the Study of Radicalisation at King’s College in London. He served as a White House Fellow and Operational Advisor in the Domestic Policy Council and Office of Management & Budget, and as an advisor to the Chief of Staff of the Army at the Pentagon. His final Army assignment was the Director of Operations for a 20,000+ person Army division. Brian earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Alabama A&M University, a Master of Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, and Master of Arts in International Affairs from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. Brian is a lifetime member in the Council on Foreign Relations.
