Paul Huszar is the CEO and majority owner of VetCor LLC, a restoration company which hires veterans and those who share similar values, and Team VetCor LLC, founded in 2019, which creates opportunities for veterans and their immediate family members through franchising. VetCor has received the following recognition: • U.S. Chamber of Commerce veteran owned business of the year runner-up (2019) • Tampa Bay Business Journal “Fast 50” (2019) • Chief Executive and Thayer Leader Development Group’s Patriots in Business Award (2018) • Grow FL Top 50 Florida Companies to Watch (2018) • Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year Start-up (2017) • Bright House Regional Business Award Small Business of the Year Start-up (2016) Paul retired from 23 years of active duty military service including four combat tours in Iraq, one unaccompanied tour in Korea, and operational deployments to Thailand, Bolivia, Honduras, Panama, and Haiti. He relocated to South Tampa upon his retirement from military service and began his tenure with VetCor in December 2013. Paul was born and raised in Akron, Ohio. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from West Point and was commissioned in the Corps of Engineers in 1990. Paul also earned a master’s degree in Civil Engineering and graduate certificates in Administration and Management; and Global Trade, Transportation and Logistics from the University of Washington, and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Missouri. His last assignment on active duty was as the Dean of the U.S. Army Engineer School. Prior to his terminal assignment Paul commanded the 307th and 37th Engineer Battalions (Combat)(Airborne). The 37th formed the basis of Joint Task Force Eagle during Operation Iraqi Freedom in 09-10, a 1,000+ Soldier and Airmen multifunctional engineer joint task force, operating throughout northern and western Iraq. Paul also received the Governor’s Business Ambassador Award from Governor Scott, and the Florida Association of Insurance Reform Community Campion Award in 2018.
