Eddie Dunn is an award winning national thought leader in the veteran transition space and founder of Civilian Ready. Over the course of his corporate career, Eddie has achieved four “Top 10” finishes to include a #1 Military Friendly Employer in the nation for a Fortune 500 company. As one of the originally architects of the most success veteran employment program in U.S. history – the Veteran Jobs Mission with JPMorgan Chase, Eddie designed and led the coalition of 120 private-sector companies working to employ our nation’s veterans. In less than three years, the coalition hired more than 140,000 veterans. Since then, the mission has grown to over 200 members and hired more than 830,000 veterans on its way to a million. In his military career, Eddie served in the famed 82nd Airborne Division as a young paratrooper and logistician. He later joined the Army Reserves as a parachute rigger and jumpmaster. He deployed to Ground Zero as a chaplain’s assistant during 9/11 and later for Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was later promoted to Master Sergeant, where he held the position of First Sergeant before his retirement. Eddie graduated, summa cum laude, earning his bachelors, in Organizational Management from Nyack College in New York. He is the recipient of numerous awards and decorations, most recently selected as a 2021 Veteran Champion of the Year by G.I. Jobs Magazine, Glaxo Supervisor of the Year; Combat Action Badge; Army Commendation Medal; Novartis CEO Diversity Leadership Award; DOD – ESGR “Seven Seals” Award, and two time recipient of the ESGR “Patriot” Award. Eddie also served as an elected Town Councilman in Vernon, New Jersey, where he currently lives with his bride of 28 years, Marie Dunn.
