JD Kenewell is the Vice President of Operations at Chewy.com where he leads the company’s fulfillment center and transportation networks. For over a decade, JD has played a pivotal role in building operational capabilities that has helped to grow the company from $204M to $11.8B annual sales in 2024. He has led teams in a number of capacities spanning Strategic Planning, Inventory In-Stock, Customer Experience, Fulfillment Technology, and Operations Support teams. Prior to Chewy, JD spent eight years at Amazon in progressive leadership roles, with his last role being responsible for North American Fulfillment Quality. His experience at both Amazon and Chewy has been defined by developing scalable systems, building high-performing teams, and delivering measurable results across every dimension of operations. JD is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, Class of 2000, where he earned a B.S. in Systems Engineering. Upon graduation, he served for 6 years as an Artillery Officer in the U.S. Army, where he participated in multiple deployments as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
