The primary role of Reward function is to design & implement competitive & cost-effective compensation, mobility and benefits programs to support the organization in hiring and retaining the best talent.

This role will be part of our truly multidisciplinary team of reward experts and will report to the Director of Global Reward.

The successful candidate will proactively identify compensation needs on a current and forward-looking basis and partner with client-facing HR Business Partners and Business Line Management to address compensation and related matters, along with driving annual compensation programs & data governance.

The role is US based and encourages remote working. Periodical travel to our San Diego office and/or global travel (post-pandemic specific) will be required as per work requirements. Also, this role will require the individual to attend meetings (via zoom calls) catering to the different time zones.


Let’s talk about Responsibilities

Effectively partner with HR colleagues and business managers to manage and consult on compensation matters

Provide guidance to business and develop creative solutions on compensation issues, that are globally aligned, locally relevant and long-term sustainable

Engage with stakeholders to educate, plan and provide advice on pay practices, programs and policies

Perform periodical analysis on costing, program effectiveness, pay trends, hiring & turnover impact

Drive compensation programs in line with the ResMed global Compensation strategy and philosophy

Drive data governance in People system, including benchmarking jobs, develop pay ranges and system readiness for annual compensation programs.

Apply Knowledge of ResMed’s clients’/competitors practices and have a firm grasp of the major competitive trends in the market.

Analyse the relevance of internal pay range and conduct custom survey as applicable

May be required to partner on global/regional/country specific projects.

Ensuring overall compliance (process, approvals etc.) from a business controls perspective for all C&B policy and process

Works effectively with the extended HR team across functions and geographies

Maintains a working knowledge of employment legislation influencing compensation. Evaluating compensation programs against legal and labour law requirements and ensuring designs, programs and practices are compliant.

Implement merger/ acquisition related compensation integration work in the region.

In-depth knowledge of core compensation terminology and best practices, including the ability to act as a resource to advice on reward related issues

Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills for internal presentations that demonstrate business acumen

Ability to effectively manage communication and relationships in matrix organization structure; influence all levels of leadership within the organization

Demonstrated ability in job evaluation, external/survey pay analysis and internal salary range development

Ability to interpret and analyse data

HR systems expertise


Let’s talk about Qualifications and Experience

Bachelors Degree in relevant discipline

Minimum 5 years of experience as a compensation partner in a multinational digital or technology (Software Product/Services) company or consulting firms

Advanced level MS Office specially Excel skills.

Desirable


Drive compensation programs in line with the ResMed global Compensation strategy and philosophy

Global experience in compensation 

​Working knowledge of an HRIS system, preferably Workday 

Thinks outside the box-- beyond the partnering responsibilities to drive sound decision-making, systematically break down problems or processes into their parts and develop several alternative solutions
