Candidate Testimonials:

Thank you for your help during my career transition!  I have accepted a position at the Nuclear Regulatory Commission in Rockville, MD and will be starting there on the 28th.  I attended one of your career transition 'classes' when I was about 18 months away from transition and it really helped prepare me for the process.  By introducing me to the tools at the USNA alumni website and sharing some advice and strategies, I felt much more prepared.  I attended 3 SACC conferences and this job was a direct result of that.  The dialogue with the NRC to find the right fit took a while but I'm glad I was patient because this was my top choice.  If there's ever anything I can do for you please let me know.  Best wishes. Dan Doyle USNA '01

It was great attending the SACC conference last Friday.  Your help was greatly appreciated and I will definitely be in touch for future career advice.  Having never been to a SACC, it was a great event.  I will work with the SACC office to get my information uploaded, current and relevant.  Any hints for success are always welcome.  Have a great day though the weather looks very wintry up in Annapolis today.  Doug Conkey USNA ‘84

I wanted to thank you for such an outstanding event, that being the SACC job fair in Savannah last week.  This was a pure class act and it was invigorating to be in the company of such high achievers from all the service academies.  There were three of us from USNA class of '86 and if nothing else, being around your classmates is uncommonly inspirational.  The lyrics of our alma mater come to mind - "but still when two or three shall meet and old tales be retold...," and remind us all of the common bond we share and how privileged we are to know one another. The companies attending were very forthright about the opportunities they had and I was impressed at how they maintained such a high energy and enthusiasm level for what I know had to have been a grueling day.  It was also inspiring to be around your group and Dave Church was outstanding, reaffirming why we got involved with anything like USNA in the first place.  Like I said, this was a class act, professionally run, and exemplified the spirit of the Academy that then Commandant of Midshipmen ADM Edney first introduced my class to in 1982.  That spirit makes us all believe we can achieve more than we ever thought possible.  Thank you again and warmest regards. Chris Kowald USNA '86

Thank you for putting on a great conference this weekend in Savannah.  Your team’s efforts provided me an opportunity to learn about some very professional companies.  I also met a few classmates I had not seen in years which was an added benefit. I have one request – Would you please provide me the name of the Fidelity Candidate Recruiter that sat on the panel discussion during the Career Seminar on Thursday evening?  I would like to send him a personal note, but I failed to get his contact information and it is not in the info he had available at the table. Thank you for your assistance. Semper Fi, Michael W. DiNardo, LtCol, USMC

Dear SACC, as we discussed on the phone, I am writing to compliment the SACC on the tremendous program you have developed. I had heard good things about it from fellow alumni who have attended. The SACC in Savannah in Feb 09 was the first to which I had gone. In all aspects, it was a tremendous experience. The orientation the night before and the event itself on Friday were first-rate.  It was great to know that this structure of support exists. Guarantee, I will pass on the benefits of the program. On a personal note, it was a great success, as well. As a Marine going on 28 years of service, I have to admit I was somewhat apprehensive about my options and opportunities as I close on retirement in the next 12-18 months. The SACC was great for my ego, seeing the level of interest from several companies for my skill set. I feel much more confident that as my time to retire arrives, I will be well positioned. Even more tangible, I receive a job offer before the end of the weekend and an offer for an on-site interview for a second company form the SACC. Both were companies of which I knew nothing but would be happy working for after retirement. So, you have sold me on the approach and the program. Thanks for the help. David Fuquea USNA ‘81 , Colonel, U.S. Marine Corps
